The English training program is called, Course in Reading Writing and Spelling English (English Program). The English Program is a revolutionary new teaching system based on phonetics (learning the basic sound structure of each letter and word) that improves reading, writing and spelling skills via a complete set of interactive, face-to-face DVD lessons. The English Program is facilitated by one of our best facilitators who will guide and assist students through all the learning modules.
The English Program improves the reading, writing and spelling skills of students and results can be seen in just a matter of weeks with dedicated practice. Because the learning is based on saying the sounds, the student’s confidence in speaking is improved. Students who have a basic foundation in English will achieve amazing results and will establish a strong competency for being able to interact in the class room, on the job and in their everyday life. Assessment is conducted on a continuous basis a Statement of Attainment is issued after students have successfully completed all assessment tasks.

The Cert III course is accredited and meets the national requirements such as the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).
The full course is conducted over a twenty week period. Once you have finished your training and you are assessed as competent your efforts are recognised by achieving a Certificate III qualification. However for the purpose of continuing study in your chosen field, business or hospitality, there is a pathway to completion within 10 weeks. At the end of a ten week period with successful assessment you will receive a formal Statement of Attainment for the modules completed. The Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) is a little more sophisticated than the Certificate III. The Cert IV includes all the core units of a Cert III and increases the areas of competency for the qualified person to be able to obtain a supervisory role as a chef or cook.

Course daily schedule
Our intakes for courses are at the beginning of the college year in February and the mid year in July. Depending on prior arrangements student may be able to enrol at the beginning of second term April and third term October if their course units match with course delivery time tables. Speak to our enrolment officer for further information.
The class sizes at PCBT are minimum 15 to 24 maximum and depending on which course and the number of enrolments. Students may be able to choose between morning or evening classes. English and Business will be offered during afternoon class times. Check with the enrolment officer when submitting your application.
Each student is required to complete the required number of hours for each unit and qualification. Students are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours per week as part of course and visa obligations.
English classes will be conducted during the Evening Time periods on days that will be determined according to the number of students enrolled. Check with the enrolment officer when submitting your application.
